　　受家庭环境影响，王福喜从小就对机械产生了浓厚兴趣，他收藏的这些机床大部分产自瑞士、德国、美国等，都有着几十年甚至上百年的历史，而且收藏每台机床的背后都有一段故事。他指着一台1960年德国造的滚刀磨床说：“它原来属于一位老机床工人，为了收藏这台机床我每个月都要往老人家跑几次，前后一共跑了80多次，最后终于用诚心打动了老人。在老人去世前，他叮嘱家人将磨床赠予了我。”一台瑞士造的小型钟表机床也是他的最爱，这是他从天津手表厂的一位老师傅那求来的，已有100多年历史，十分珍贵。 　　此外，去年前十个月我国机床工具产品累计进口同比增加2.1%，最近连续四个月增速均为正增长。数据显示，2012年1～10月，加工中心、磨床、特种加工机床、车床、成形或冲压机床位居各类金属加工机床进口额前五位。其中，加工中心进口4.2万台，价值47.4亿美元，在金属切削机床进口额中占比超过50%，在金属加工机床进口额中占41.3%.金模机床网首席分析师罗百辉认为尽管我国的机床工具行业产值已居世界第一且连续十年呈现高速增长的局面，但整个行业出现的结构性矛盾却越来越突出。
